Dr. Robert Harris, a pediatrician of 45 years and author of the children’s book The Curly-Headed Bird, has always been a passionate supporter of bettering life for Columbia’s children and providing them positive direction. Dr. Harris dedicates his time to bettering the Columbia community through many means, such as sitting on Columbia’s Safe Kids chapter board, a breast cancer board, and the President’s Advisory Council at Central Methodist University, in addition to serving on the P.R.I.D.E. board of directors. Dr. Harris hopes to see P.R.I.D.E. become a positive focus for the community’s youth by giving attention to the educational, social and athletic aspects of their lives combined in one positive setting. He is proud to be involved with the P.R.I.D.E. effort and honored to be part of the P.R.I.D.E. board of directors, a diversified group of board citizens dedicated to improving the quality of life, opportunities and ultimate accomplishments of Columbia families and their children.
