Keith Miller became involved in P.R.I.D.E. because he leads by example for his children; he feels it is important to show his children the need to give back to the community so they will continue that effort as adults themselves. In addition to serving on the board of directors for P.R.I.D.E., Mr. Miller is involved in the Columbia Art League’s Art in the Park, he is on the Administration Commission for Sacred Heart Church, and he is a coach with Columbia Youth Basketball, Daniel Boone Little League baseball, Rising Stars Sports Association basketball, Columbia Youth Football, and Columbia Soccer Club. Mr. Miller says he feels a personal responsibility to lead youths by example because they will be our future leaders. Today’s youth needs adults to teach them how to act, how to work towards goals, how to win humbly and lose graciously, how to help their fellow man, and how to tear down barriers of prejudice. Mr. Miller hopes to see Columbia become a more integrated community in which citizens are judged for contributions alone, and he hopes Columbia continues to be a community that is willing to work towards the betterment of its citizens.
