Scott Sedgwick has lived in Columbia since 1996, when he came here to finish a degree in business management and communications. Since his arrival, Sedgwick has been involved in many community activities. He has volunteered with the Central Missouri Mentoring Program and at Columbia Catholic School, and has coached for the Daniel Boone Little League. He currently conducts robotics classes at the Boys and Girls Club and the Blind Boone Center.

Ask Sedgwick about his volunteer efforts and he'll tell you that serving kids is his greatest contribution and offers him many proud moments. He encourages others to help fill the gap in the shortage of volunteers.

Sedgwick is excited by PRIDE's commitment to the community and their follow-through. Education is central to PRIDE's mission, and Sedgwick does his best to help get PRIDE's message out in the community.

Sedgwick stepped forward to serve on PRIDE's board of directors, seeing the mission of the organization to change people's lives for the better. He has great confidence in PRIDE's goal of building a community center where people living in and near the First Ward will be able to exercise both their minds and bodies.
