Brian Cook
Board Director
Send A Message To Brian Cook

Brian Cook was born and raised in St. Louis, Mo. At the age of nine, he discovered what was to become a lifetime passion-boxing.

After graduating high school, Brian joined the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served three years and continued to develop his boxing skills. After the military, Mr. Cook attended Lincoln University and started a career with the U.S. Postal Service. For the past 15 years, he has worked in the postal service in Columbia and made this his home.

In 2000, Brian helped develop Columbia's youth boxing program, sharing his love of boxing with kids.

Mr. Cook has also been involved with the First Ward Ambassadors, helping start a program to improve First Ward neighborhoods. Recognizing his high level of community involvement, PRIDE recruited Mr. Cook for its board of directors. He enthusiastically accepted the position, knowing that PRIDE could have a grand effect on the community.

Being in direct contact with the youth of Columbia makes Mr. Cook an asset to the board as an advocate for the needs of local kids. He is impressed with the different options PRIDE can provide for youth. His vision is that any child will be able to walk into PRIDE's facility and find a program to meet his or her needs.
