Alana Fountain’s involvement with local social organizations has had a positive impact on her life both as a parent and a Columbia citizen. She has worked with behavior-challenged students for several years as an instructional aide, coached a girls’ basketball team, and participated in The Intersection outreach as an Americorp Vista Volunteer. Currently, she sits on the Boone Early Childhood Partners board of directors in addition to being a P.R.I.D.E. board member. Ms. Fountain hopes the P.R.I.D.E. facility will enable the social organizations housed within to serve the needs of the entire community to the best of their abilities and positively impact the city as a whole. She looks forward to the day her son can participate at the P.R.I.D.E. facility, as well.
