Education and positive means of expression are both empowering tools for self-improvement. Therefore, P.R.I.D.E. will offer enrichment courses for children and adults in a variety of academic subjects and artistic mediums, including language arts, visual arts, and dance.

All children deserve positive role models, people who believe in them and push them to succeed. P.R.I.D.E. will offer mentoring services in all areas so every child receives positive one-on-one interaction and support. Whether through sports, academics or arts, P.R.I.D.E. mentors will work closely with children to set and achieve goals, understand and overcome difficulties they may be experiencing in other areas of their lives, and develop confidence in themselves and their abilities.

Organized sports in a safe, positive environment teach children life-lessons in discipline, teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship. Sports also offer children and adults a fun outlet for expending energy and staying fit. P.R.I.D.E. will offer basketball and boxing activities with close supervision and instruction from P.R.I.D.E. coaches.

Many people experience hard times and overwhelming problems at different points in their lives. Support from others can make difficult periods less bleak and help overcome hardships. P.R.I.D.E. organizations provide counseling in a variety of areas, including substance abuse, violence, and family issues.

Several organizations in the P.R.I.D.E. facility coordinate annual holiday dinners for those who don’t have the luxury of a holiday meal at home or want to spend the holiday in the company of others. Volunteers with these organizations can also assist those who go hungry every day.
